As a member of the Harbor Bay String Quartet, I would like to thank everyone who came to our concerts. We could not continue without you. The other members and I had such a wonderful time preparing the music from our initial readthru, deciding the program, practicing and finally performing. I find it an enormous undertaking to put these concerts on for our community, I would like to solicit help. If you have the room to host a concert, house our visiting musicians, bake cookies, print posters and programs - please call me (360-378-4106) at your earliest opportunity. |

Performing Arts Society presents its final concert with the Harbor Bay String Quartet in Concert.
Sally Browne is bringing up friends from the Bay Area, CA to join her in an exciting performance of the Dvorak "American" Quartet Op. 96, # 6 and Hayden Quartet Op. 76, # 1 plus a few surprises. Ayako English returns along with Audrey DiSilva and Decky Thornton. We are so excited to bring you this concert, we hope you come and enjoy it with us.
Presented at San Juan Historical Museum (Price Street across from Best Western), April 6, 2010 at 7pm and at St. David's Episcopal Church (Marguerite & Park), April 8, 2010 at 7pm.
Admission is by donations to help with the expenses of bringing these fabulous musicians to our beautiful island. Suggested donations are $15 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, under 7 are free. While visiting in California, we got together and were very enthusiastic about reading the Dvorak we decided the island needed this at the end of a long winter to start the celebration of spring. Come join us. As always, admission is by donation --- suggested donation of $15. |
